A man trying to find his meaning in life—that’s what we all want, right? Anyway, I go by the name Mayank Mohanti. Spot that peculiar surname? Well, my dad was a big cricket fan and there was this Indian spinner named ‘Debashish Mohanty’ that he liked much. Rest, my friends, is history!
So, I come from a humble place in Bihar and currently, find myself enrolled in Bachelors of Journalism in the University of Delhi. Never really was a classroom student and neither this programme is, hence, I sought a place where my skills will be tested—the Indian Express Digital. Most of my hours are spent copy-editing the stories, while the rest, I utilise in striking the keyboards to my pleasure. I write.
